Real Money: Improv Inspired by Real Conversations About Money

December 13, 2019 @ 10:00 pm - 11:30 pm

🏦 A taboo-busting’ collab between Inside Man creator Patrick Dodd and financial counsellor Max Mitchell.

💰Isn’t it a little weird how deeply embedded money is in our lives and yet, we never talk about it? How is it that we know everything about each other’s political alignments, medical issues, and bedroom kinks, but have absolutely no clue about each others finances?

💸When we don’t talk about money, not-so-great things happen. We make assumptions about our’s peer’s financial lives, we limit our understanding of money, we’re less likely to ask for help and we usually end up trying to figure everything out on our own. Occasionally for better, but almost always for worse, we end up wingin’ it.

📈 This show will present real, live-on-stage financial conversations between the performers and financial counsellor Max Mitchell. Those conversations will serve as inspiration for an improvised comedy set. Money isn’t all doom and gloom my friends!

🧀Tickets are FREEEEEEEEE so make sure you reserve your spot by signing up on Eventbrite. Only 30 tickets are available for advance reservation, we’ll reserve another 30 for people at the door. So if you’ve missed a chance to reserve, come early!

COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

Health officials in British Columbia have banned events with more than 50 people in order to combat the spread of COVID-19 and closed all non-essential businesses.

Little Mountain Gallery is a shared community space and has supported our showrunners in choosing to cancel their performances to encourage social isolation and prevent the spread of this illness.

Our not-for-profit business model relies on regular rentals in the space and, due to these unprecedented circumstances, we are asking for donations to ensure we are able to remain in operation through this pandemic.

Little Mountain Gallery is following the City of Vancouver's updates on this issue.

We'll be updating this message as new information becomes available.

Thanks!
