Aaron Read Presents…Not So Special: Hastily Written Stand Up Specials

Local self professed “OK” comedians Abdul Aziz and Aaron Charles Read attempt to write half hour specials in a week and then present it to you, the audience!

They are not allowed to test out the material beforehand and HAVE TO write 30 minutes of jokes.

Come watch them Succeed? Fail? Freak out? Cry? Mumble “Please still love me” as the audience leaves one by one? Probably all of the above!

This event takes place on the traditional, unceded, occupied territories of the Coast Salish peoples: the mi ce:p kʷətxʷiləm (Tsleil-Waututh), Skwxwú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) nations.

Accessibility Info:

– Front Door has a slight Lip
– Bathrooms are not large enough to accommodate all wheel chairs
– There is additional space in the back left portion of the theatre space to accommodate a wheelchair or anyone else that requires more space than the theatre style seating. This space can be accessed by the bar area and is raised, allowing a view of the stage.

LMG COVID-19 Status

As of now the only show running at Little Mountain Gallery is Jokes Please! on Thursdays. Please ignore all other events on our calendar.

Little Mountain Gallery is obeying all recommendations from the provincial government. The COVID-19 situation is changing daily and may necessitate re-closing the venue as infection numbers continue to rise. Please keep this in mind when purchasing tickets for events in advance.

LMG will restrict access to people exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 or have come into contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19.

Although all performances at LMG are independently produced we're asking all our showrunners to comply with a standard level of precautions, including encouraging all tickets to be available online, elimination of cash-transactions, rigorous disinfectant and preventative measures, audience traffic and line modifications, etc.

Information about specific practices can be obtained from individual showrunners before events. Please respect all requirements for entry including mask-use, disinfectant procedures, additional time for entry and exit, as well as any additional necessary inconveniences.
