Outreach and Development Programs

Outreach & Mentorships

As a community-run space, Little Mountain Gallery aims to foster diverse and emerging local talent in Vancouver’s comedy community.

We are committed to creating an equitable, inclusive, and supportive space for community members.

We understand that this is an ongoing process of learning and dialogue. As we deepen our understanding of equity, diversity and inclusion, these commitments and initiatives will continue to evolve.

We welcome and encourage community feedback and accountability.

Little Mountain Gallery operates on the territories of the xwməθkwəy̓ əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

We are committed to increasing the number of, and creatively supporting, Indigenous performers in the comedy community as a response to the call to action outlined in the Calls for Justice, section 6.1.

Currently, Little Mountain Gallery offers several programs to help increase access to diverse performers and audiences at our venue.

Production Mentorship Program

Little Mountain Gallery offers a limited amount of show slots to new and emerging comedy producers. These spots are offered free of charge and include assistance from Little Mountain Gallery in development, advertising and production.

Stand-up Mentorship Pilot Program

Little Mountain Gallery is offering a limited, free, pilot workshop program for active comedy artists.

This program is led by an established and accomplished comedian who will guide active, emerging comedy artists to develop their act over a period of several weeks.

This workshop takes place in a mix of in-person meeting sessions and live performances hosted at LMG.

Ticket Access

Little Mountain Gallery is interested in making programming accessible and reaching a diverse audience.

We understand there are barriers to access events.

We offer free or discounted tickets to events programmed by Little Mountain Gallery.

Please note that not all shows at the venue are programmed by Little Mountain Gallery and may not participate in these programs.
