Zhang Hui is a Chinese stand-up comedian known for her quick wit, candid storytelling, and ability to turn everyday awkwardness into comedy. From relationships and family expectations to cultural differences, identity, and the strange little rules we all pretend to understand, Zhang Hui finds humor in the moments that feel both deeply personal and surprisingly universal.
In this special English-language performance, Zhang Hui brings her comedy to a wider audience, sharing stories shaped by Chinese culture, life abroad, and the wonderfully confusing experience of navigating people, expectations, and adulthood.
Whether you already know Zhang Hui from her Chinese-language comedy or you’re discovering her for the first time, this show is designed to stand on its own — no Mandarin required.
Expect an intimate night of smart, playful, and occasionally brutally relatable stand-up.
Come see Zhang Hui live in Vancouver and discover what happens when Chinese humor meets an English-speaking stage.
Bring a friend, bring a date, or bring the person you’ve been complaining about — they might finally understand what you mean.
This show will be presented in the Salazar Stage (Main floor).
This show is produced and curated under a rental model, independent of Little Mountain Gallery. If you have questions or comments on this performance please contact the producer at 9pointcomedy@gmail.com
