Is life just trivia in the end?

In a world filled with misinformation, there is only one place that we can go to find the ultimate truth: Trivia Night. Quizmaster Bertram Thistle has been hosting trivia since its invention and is a true devotee to the altar of general knowledge bar games. Tonight is a very special night, as this will be Thistle’s final bow. Bringing together everything he’s learned since he started his trivia night in 1948, he is committed to offering The Greatest Night in Trivia History. Expect questions you’ve never heard before, answers to questions you never thought to ask, and perhaps he may answer the very meaning of life – with prizes!

Vancouver based comedian and playwright Jordy Matheson hosts this freewheeling mix of character comedy, stand-up, music, acrobatics (possibly!), sermon on the mount, and real trivia night inspired by trivia’s potential to encapsulate the past, present, future, and everything that has ever been or ever will be. A popular comedian and improviser in Vancouver, Jordy regularly performs at Rio Theatre, Tightrope Theatre, and Little Mountain Gallery. He has also had his plays presented through Arts Club’s LEAP program and Pull Festival.

This show will involve real trivia scorecards and prizes, however all audience participation is completely optional.

Accessibility

Please note that the venue has two separate spaces, upstairs and downstairs. All show listings should indicate which room they’re in on the description. Please ensure you note the location as both spaces do not have the same level of accessibility.

The front entrance has power assisted doors.

There’s a powered lift from street level to the main performance space. For more information on the limitations of our lift, please check out our website.

The venue has six private washrooms on the main floor, one of which is fully accessible with a power assisted door. The theatre doors to the main space are not power assisted at this time. The second floor is not accessible and is up two flights of stairs.
